Cambodia Anti-Doping Agency (CADA)

In May 24th 2005, the Cambodian Government signed the Copenhagen Declaration on Anti-Doping in Sport. The declaration was drafted and agreed to by governments at the Second World Conference on Doping in Sport held in Copenhagen, Denmark, in March 2003. It recognizes the role and supports the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the World Anti-Doping Code.

In May 01st 2008, the Cambodian Government ratified the UNESCO International Convention against Doping in Sport.

In March 05th 2012, Cambodian Anti-Doping Agency (CADA) was established by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

CADA was officially launched their operation since 2014 as a National Anti-Doping Agency (NADO) for Cambodia.

CADA is dedicated to fostering a culture of integrity, fair play, and clean sports competition in Cambodia. We are committed to protecting the rights of athletes, promoting doping-free sports, and empowering Cambodia’s athletes throughout the athlete pathway to achieve their full potential through ethical means.
Strategic Objectives
1.Develop and Implement Comprehensive Anti-Doping Policies:
•Formulate robust anti-doping regulations that align with international standards and ensure compliance across all sports in Cambodia.
•Ensure all stakeholders understand and implement the regulations in place.
2.Enhance Education and Awareness Programs:
•Launch nationwide educational initiatives targeting athletes, coaches, sports organizations, parents, and officials to continuously raise awareness about the dangers of doping and the importance of clean sports.
•Collaborate with key stakeholders, including government bodies, national sports federations, educational institutions, and health organizations, to deliver impactful education activities.
•Offer counseling, mentorship, and other support services to help athletes navigate the challenges of clean competition and maintain their mental and physical well-being.
•Develop and distribute educational materials, such as information brochures, videos, and online resources, to empower athletes with knowledge about anti-doping regulations and ethical practices.
3.Develop and Implement Preventive Programs:
•Establish and implement effective testing and monitoring protocols to detect doping violations and support clean sport while maintaining the integrity of competitions.
•Establish intelligence and investigation protocols to be implemented where possible.
4.Foster a Culture of Integrity and Fair Play:
•Promote a sports culture that values sportsmanship, respect, and ethical conduct through recognition and celebration of clean athletes and their achievements.
5.Strengthen Partnerships and Advocacy Efforts:
•Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, sports federations, and civil society organizations, to advocate for stronger anti-doping policies and enforcement measures.
•Encourage collaboration with international anti-doping organizations to share best practices and stay updated on the latest developments in the fight against doping.
•Engage with the media and public to raise awareness about the importance of clean sports and the achievements of Cambodia’s clean champions.
